Almost half of India’s population
does not receive any sort of formal education, not even
at the primary level.
We tell you this, not to create any sense of hopelessness.
But to give u a glimpse of how much needs to be done.
We at hamara project have taken a step towards changing
this statistic. We have a dream
to ensure that our future generation is capable of supporting
themselves so that they do not have to resort to unpleasant
activities just to survive. It is the duty of every priviliged
individual to ensure the same.
Hamara Project is a venture undertaken by the Goa Branch
of the Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust which is
a National Trust started in 1945 by Mahatma Gandhi himself
after the death of his wife kasturba.
The Prime concern of the trust is education and empowerment
of women and children especially in the rural areas of
India.
Though it’s a National Trust with common views and
ideas, each state has its own branch which is totally
independent regarding projects, administration and funding. |
